Robbolito 0.09 vs Anmon 5.60

This is how Robbloito 0.09 crushes the 2600++ rated Anmon 5.60. I guess the latest version of Anmon is Anmon 5.75 (rated 2630 according to http://www.computerchess.org.uk/ccrl/404.live/index.html on the 19th Feb 2010, but haven't got this engine yet.

I forced each engines to play black and white with French Defence, advanced variation in the following starting position:
1. e4 e6
2. d4 d5
3. e5 c5
I observed that the play of Robbolito was evidently stronger in the endgame. In some games, it did not hesitate in sacrificing materials for positional motives such as for opening lines or pursuing a crushing checkmate attack.

  1. With Arena 2.0.1 i have problems with the time control. I have some engines that lost the match becuse they cant control the time. Under Fritz interface i have not this problem.

  2. You are absolutely right. I got problem with Fritz GUI too. One of the way to mitigate this is adding extra time for every move say +10 second.
