My computer desk

This is the desk I use to run chess engines matches. Also in the picture are some of my original chess programs CD/DVD collection. I owned almost every vesion of Fritz but forgot where I put the rest.

  1. A nice collection. I have only Fritz 8 - still too strong for me :))))

  2. Those are just collection...I am not even closer to get a draw to any of the FRITZs. So I played the lower rated personality in Chessmaster to boost my confidence :)

  3. Great desk, man...I have Fritz X and I don't even play against that monster. I play with Nagaskaki freeware engine/GUI, which is a little bit stronger than myself. Your blog is great man, I can see that you are obsessed with chess engines. I have just heard for Robbolito and Firebird...Those Russians are insane! They broke Rybka's teeth! I am from Bosnia, Sarajevo, and chess is very popular here...I am crazy about that too...I have nothing to say except 1.e4!

  11. That's a beautiful chess set you've got there, where did you get it? I also want to run tournaments between differing chess engines: it is ever fascinating to see inside the computer mind. I think we have finally reached the era in which computer chess play is generally stronger than grandmaster play but there will probably always be unending discussion as to which is the correct assessment for an endgame scenario! As ever chess boggles the brain!
