Robbolito 0.09 vs Anmon 5.60

This is how Robbloito 0.09 crushes the 2600++ rated Anmon 5.60. I guess the latest version of Anmon is Anmon 5.75 (rated 2630 according to http://www.computerchess.org.uk/ccrl/404.live/index.html on the 19th Feb 2010, but haven't got this engine yet.

I forced each engines to play black and white with French Defence, advanced variation in the following starting position:
1. e4 e6
2. d4 d5
3. e5 c5
I observed that the play of Robbolito was evidently stronger in the endgame. In some games, it did not hesitate in sacrificing materials for positional motives such as for opening lines or pursuing a crushing checkmate attack.

Robbolito 0.09 vs Rybka 3 Dynamic in rapid match (30 minutes time control) - Update

In the last post I commented that Rybka 3 is perhaps better than Robbolito 0.09  on certain conditions. This time I forced Rybka and Robbo to play from a position in Sicilian Najdorf and take turn to play white and black pieces respectively.
1. e4 c5
2. Nf3 d6
3. d4 cxd4
4. Nxd4 Nf6
5. Nc3 a6
...play continued from this position.

The preliminary result is rather shocking. Robbo trashed Rybka without conceding any single game in 11 games ,so far.

Robbolito 0.09 vs Rybka 3 Dynamic in rapid match (30 minutes time control)

There are reasons to believe that Rybka 3 is probably better than Robbolito 0.09 under the following conditions:
  1. 30 minutes time control
  2. Ponder off
  3. No tablebases
  4. No opening book.
The following is my latest result based on the above conditions:

Rybka 3 vs Robbo 009  2010

1    Rybka 3 Dynamic 1-cpu 32-bit         ½½½½½½½1½1    6.0/10
2    RobboLito 0.09 w32                        ½½½½½½½0½0    4.0/10

Obviously more tests are needed for a more objective evaluation but I observed that Robbo was under pressure (defending) in almost all games including when Rybka was black.  Without book knowledge, Robbo treated the opening in a very unusual way. Although I am not a strong player but I knew no super grandmaster would ever employed the following line as black in any strong tournament. This is Robbo's main weapon against e4 and lost twice to Rybka 3. (I will force the two engines play the Sicilian Najdorf in my next test).

(Free) Robbolito 0.09 vs Fritz 12 (Commercial)

Without any doubt the free Robbolito 0.09 is very very far stronger than the commercial Fritz 12. Perhaps no human being will ever beat Robbo in a match forever.
