Robbolito family: Ivanhoe and Firebird

Seems that the Robbolito chess engine is expanding, perhaps horizontally through recycled-codes. Robbo appears in different names, FireBird and IvanHoe. If you like to experience them yourself, here are the download links:

  1. It would be nice to organize a tournament to assess the progress on that progeny.
That can't be done by the major list (SSDF, ECGT, CCRL etc) as they are banning those engines.

However, any computer chess enthusiast with good hardware could do this. Any taker here?

  2. I agree. The free Arena GUI seems to be a good flatform for this test

  4. Mine works well in Arena 2.0.1, Fritz 12, and Aquarium 3 GUI. It doesn't work in ChessGui, unfortunately. However the FireBird and Robbolito freeze when I ran a round robin engine tournament of more then 3 programs in Arena.

The menu: "Engine->Install New Engine" in Arena doesn't work for for me so I installed all the engine with menu: Engine->Manage->Details->New. Hope this can help.
    Cheers
