New chess engines: Robbolito and Ippolit

True, the limit to the creation of chess/engine is human imagination. Check yourself the two top class chess engines that are currently creating new waves, sweeping Rybka-3 and even the latest fritz 12. The best thing is these two engines are free and works well in any UCI capable chess programs...p/s: info as I read from other people's reviews

If you need a UCI capable program you can download Arena or Winboard

  2. Thanks for Robbolito.009 It kills Rybka 3 about 87%. Hey Vas has gone into hiding because this new engine is kicking his buggy Rybka. His forum (Rybka forum) is censoring all posts related to this engine. They are telling people how they should talk and think. They call it a clone and provide no proof and censor every post. Chessbase is banning anyone who uses it on playchess. Looks like chessbase is trying to keep a monopoly on chessbase indoresed products. Rybka is no champion if it can't beat Robbolito. Robbolito is far better than Rybka 3 and I tested it and couldn't believe it. The chess world is rocked and don't know what to do about this great engine Robbolito because it is free and they can't compete. Keep up the good work.

  3. I wonder if i can find a good explanation of where the optimization is done in Robbo ... I mean hell yeah .. it searched much deeper while using only single core and wins most of the games on shorted time controls (5 min\game against ryabka 2.2) and it also gives different esteemation ....

So i need explanation\documentation\any english speeking contact etc to quench my curiosity :P

    Thanks for links anyway.

  4. Thanks for visiting my blog. You are right, I do note that Robbo always display higher kN/sec compared to rybka. Unfortunately I could not help, I have zero knowledge on technical side of chess engines like optimizations, search algorithms etc.
